Mastering Transparency Act Reporting

As of October 1, recipients of federal grants and contracts must comply with subrecipient reporting requirements under the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA).

Grant and contract recipients are now required to report on first-tier sub-awards over $25,000, and the reports must be submitted as often as monthly. The data ranges from sub-awardee and project information to executive compensation, and it will be made available to the public on USAspending.gov. In addition, recipients must learn and administer a new federal reporting system, FSRS.gov.

Not surprisingly, this new requirement is causing confusion and increasing the federal reporting burden. This informative webinar introduces FFATA reporting, walks through the FSRS.gov system, shares reporting best practices, discusses areas that can trigger federal audits, and teachs you how to prepare thorough audit documentation.

Within the last week, the Office of Management and Budget issued nearly 60 pages of new Recovery Act reporting guidance, including new reporting procedures, expanded transparency requirements in narrative descriptions, and numerous changes for Federal contractors.
